7v7 Competitive NFL Flag Football Overview
Competitive NFL Flag 7v7 (Bring your own team), allows coaches the flexibility to assemble their team as they see fit. There are no city boundary restrictions. Divisions will be formed via Grade (same as our Recreational 7v7 program). Birth certificates will be needed to validate age.
The Competitive 7v7 division is designed for those players who excelled in the 7v7 recreational league and desire to play in a more aggressive & competitive environment.
Flag Football Program Comparison
Comp NFL Flag Football
- Teams are formed by coaches
- No boundary restrictions
- NFL Flag rules modified to LSFA 7v7 rec program
- Practice space is NOT guaranteed through LSFA. Coaches may be responsible for finding space
- No participation rules enforced
- Regular Season Games (6 game minimum) Plus single elimination playoffs
- Coach registers and pays for the team -LSFA will not roster players nor hold a free agent list
- Players may not play in both Competitive and Recreational Leagues
Rec NFL Flag Football
Our traditional Flag recreational program.
- Teams formed by LSR7 school boundaries
- Minimum touch, target, and playing time rules for equitable opportunity
- NFL Flag rules modified to LSFA 7v7 rec program
- Practice space included
- Regular Season Games (6 game minimum) Plus single elimination playoffs
- Max roster size 11
- Individual player registration & payment
- Players may not play in both Competitive and Recreational Leagues
Upon registration, Coaches will need to submit their competitive flag roster to flag@lsfootball.org.
